A7 / A210 / A215 to junction Kiel-Mettenhof, direction Mettenhof. At the first traffic light turn to the right, follow the signposting to Hasseldieksdamm. After the second traffic light turn to the right into Martenshofweg. You will find the Hotel Birke at the left side. (approx. 1,5km).

B 404 to bus stop Hamburger Chaussee, follow B76 to direction airport, junction Kronshagen Süd, left to Kronshagener Weg direction Mettenhof, turn to the left after approx. 2 km into a small forest to the Melsdorfer Straße, turn to the right at the first cross-way, again turn to the left at the first cross-way into Martenshofweg.

Main station: Kiel main station, go by bus route 91 or 31 direction Mettenhof to bus stop "Waldesruh" (on the other side of the street you will see already the Hotel Birke) or take a taxi - the drive takes approx. 10 minutes (approx. 4,5 km).

Public Transportation: Via the 4 bus lines 6, 31, 91 and 704 with direct stop ("Waldesruh") at the hotel, we are all day easily accessible from all directions and all places in Kiel.

International Airport Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel: The airport bus "Kielius" of the Autokraft goes from airport Hamburg-Fuhlsbüttel to central bus station ZOB at main station Kiel (approx. 80 km) up to 17 times daily. charges approx. EUR 15,00 per person (family- and children discounts, combi tickets -round trip- reduced see www.kielius.de). Or by car (approx. 86 km) see directions via highway A7.

Airport Kiel: approx. 15 minutes (approx. 10 km) with a car resp. taxi away from the Hotel.

The ferry terminals of the "Stena Line" and "Color Line" are approx. 10 minutes (approx. 4,5 km) away from the hotel by car resp. taxi.
