Speaking of Pierre Binder. We are really glad that we in the Fischers Fritz could win with him a very creative head chef who brings along relevant experiences of the starred gastronomy. Pierre Binder was born in Salzwedel, grew up in Stendhal, is 37 years old and very much in love with a "Kiel sprat". Before he found is work-related harbour in the "Birke" he worked as second head chef among others in the restaurant "Wirtschaft zum Wiesengrund" (2 Michelin stars) in Zurich and in the restaurant "Wullenwever" (1 Michelin star) alongside top chefs. About himself he says: "I'm a real soupy-kaspar". We are thrilled by his large knowledge and the ardent passion which he displays every minute for the cooking. Even in his free time he is always looking for new ideas. With many more light components he will improve the menu of the Fischers Fritz continuously in the future. My telephone is ringing. The event office of the Hamburg wholesale market calls, it' about arrangements for the Food Market on 5 and 6 September. It will be hold for the fourth time together with DER FEINSCHMECKER and the wholesale market fruit, vegetables and flowers Hamburg. The motto is "From the region for the region" and we are taking part again! In the hall of the wholesale market over 20 young chefs from Hamburg and the surroundings will cook small, creative dishes with products by regional producers. The Fischers Fritz has together with colleagues of the association FEINHEIMISCH a bigger stand this year and will serve feinheimisch delicacies of regional products.
On 25 September is also a food market in the "Birke", our popular Fischers Fritz fish market. From 6:00 p.m. we present a great fish buffet on ice with many kinds of fish from the North and Baltic Sea as well as local lakes. The guest choose their fish and we prepare it according to their wishes. In addition there are regional and seasonal vegetables and potatoes.
And my vacation? Comes. Where it will take me, is not decided yet. In that case I'm holding it like Napoleon: Who knows exactly from the beginning where his way leads, will never brings it far. However, there are many reasons for staying in the country. Here in the north where others go on holidays. You, too? Then come to the "Birke" again.
